Fourth Annual Memory Walk Photos

The Anne Arundel Chapter of The Bereaved Parents of the USA held its Fourth Annual Memory Walk on Saturday October 7, 2006 at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. Over 80 walkers participated and completed a 2-mile walk through the park. Many sported customized shirts with a photo of their children. We always say, “Rain or Shine” we will walk. This year we had a chance to prove it – we had intermittent rain during the event, but the rain did not dampen our spirits, just our clothes. A fellowship-gathering time, with refreshments, preceded the walk. During the closing ceremony we heard several readings and music. Following the Walk, several of us went to St. Martins-in-the-Field Church in Severna Park, where we planted a butterfly bush in memory of our children who have died too soon.
